Why should you settle for a pile
of rocks when you can have
the real thing?
Creating authentic rockwork requires skilled artisans that understand construction methods
and sculpting techniques that convey realism with structural integrity. Casting molds from
actual rock formations in the wilderness provides the foundation for lightweight but real
looking rockwork. A fraction of the weight of real boulders allows large scale creations in
the most unusual locations.

Penthouse Water Feature
A particular set of criteria
were required in the design
and installation of the
vertical GFRC rock waterfall
on the 13th floor of Metro
National's new high rise
luxury apartments. Avoiding
tension cables, suspending
a grotto ceiling, and keeping
a high waterfall drop from
splashing onto the walkway
were just a few of the
challenges that we faced
during construction. We
coordinated with Morris
Architects, the General
Contractor Anslow Bryant,
and their electrician, water
proofing contractor, roofer,
EFS contractor, and flooring
contractor.

"Building exhibits utilized for large animals is extremely difficult - and requires products and installations that need to hold up under unusual circumstances. They need to be long term installations with no failures. The waterfall feature and the theme work provided by Theme Designs has withstood the wear and tear of 400 pound Bengal tigers for over 6 years. Their work met all the requirements necessary to safely maintain these unique animals. It has been maintenance free (no leaks, filtration issues, failures of any kind) outside normal maintenance responsibilities. Any issues that required a response to repair were done quickly and professionally."
