Custom trees can be designed and fabricated from a variety of materials depending upon your budget or your particular design application. - GFRC Trunk - a cement fiber mix. The most durable, vandal resistant, interior/exterior.
- Fiberglass Trunk - durable for inside and outside applications.
- Latex Bark - durable but not recommended for close up contact with kids.
- Giant Timber Bamboo - big bamboo kiln dried & can be fabricated up to 75' in height.
- Natural Wood Trunks - interior applications & suited for trees under 18' ht.
- Talking Trees - animatronic faces or arm movements can be added for fun or education.
If you have an idea or concept we can provide some guidelines and structural recommendations. From whimsical to museum quality we've provided some examples for your review:
| Just wanted to thank you for the beautiful tree you made me. I am very happy with the results of it. It's definitely the highlight of my office and hopefully the talk of the subdivision once we open. Please thank your staff for all their hard work in this project. Little Smiles of Sienna Pearland, Texas April 1, 2009 This giant tree is the heart of a children's waiting room. The trunk is hand sculpted to replicate a natural trunk but is fabricated out of cement to withstand any punishment the little darlings can dish out.
| Methodist Willowbrook Hospital Houston, Texas May, 2010 The healing Garden on the 4th floor was designed to provide a tranquil setting for both patients and staff. Surrounded by patient's rooms allowed a park like view for a soothing environment. Live plants were ruled out due to weight factors, cost of continuous maintenance, and the impossibility of future plant replacement. The museum quaality trees are realistic and lifelike.
| Methodist Willowbrook Hospital Houston, Texas May, 2010 Providing plant material that would bring the human scale to a seventh story atrium was a challenge presented by the Methodist management. Typical plant materials were dwarfed by the soaring space and minimal floor space limited available solutions. With only 5 weeks till opening we fabricated custom kiln dried bamboo so realistic that the staff expressed concerns about the bamboo taking over the lobby.
