Pindo Palms Among the hardiest feathered palms available, the Butia Capitata (Pindo Palm) can be planted from southern Florida to as far north as Washington state. Reaching a good twelve to fifteen feet in height, the Pindo Palm is a great accent piece to any sunny landscape. Their wide spread is full and lush, often draping gracefully down to the ground beneath them--as such this palm definitely needs a wide clearance for driveways or rooftops.
